A Rose
It's life that sucks these roses dry,
Simply cause they were meant to die.
But I assure you it's a lie,
A rose to remember me by.
Hi, sorry if this is not exactly art, but I genuinely needed feedback on my writing piece. The title is A Rose btw. I am writing this piece because I am giving roses to a girl, but I will also give a "fake", or handmade, rose because I don't want her to forget me even when the other roses are dead. Well, how do you think? It's 8 syllables per line on purpose, but how exactly do you make a poem sound good? Like is there a specific amount of syllables per line, or other various factors etc, etc. Any help is appreciated!
